Iris leads $2.4m seed round for Monk
Iris Capital has led a $2.4m seed round for Monk, a Paris-based developer of an inspection system for car damages.
The round also saw participation from business angels including Patrick Sayer, former CEO of Eurazeo; Yannis Yahiaoui, founder of Adot; and Arthur Waller, founder of PriceMatch and Pennylane.
The fresh capital will be used to support Monk's research and development, the recruitment of new team members, and its business expansion across Europe.
Company
Founded in 2019 and based in Paris, Monk is an AI-based inspection and detection system for car damages. Its solution is based on technology that detects damages on any car relying on pictures taken by users, renters and drivers.
