
Marlin invests in Pentalog
Marlin Equity Partners has backed software development and digital services firm Pentalog.
The firm will take a minority stake in the company with the majority being retained by the management team.
Marlin is currently investing from its Marlin Equity V vehicle, which closed on €2.5bn in March 2017. The fund was 20% deployed as of June 2019 and makes investments of $75-300m per deal.
The company saw its revenues increase during the first two quarters of 2020, by 20% in Q1 and 10% in Q2, according to a statement.
Pentalog is likely to focus on organic growth following the investment, though the company is also considering targeted acquisitions. It expects to expand in the US, the UK and Germany, with growth facilities provided by banks.
