French meeting and events venue provider Comet Meetings has raised €30m from new and existing investors.
New investors were Idinvest Partners and HEC Ventures, while existing investors included BPI France, and entrepreneurs Pierre Kosciusko-Morizet and Judith Milgrom.
News portal Capital Finance reported that the investment was equally split between equity and debt.
Comet Meetings generated €10m in revenues in 2019, according to the article.
The company will use the financing to strengthen the range of services it provides and to open new locations in France and internationally, starting with Belgium. It plans to open a fifth location in Paris at the end of September, one in Brussels in Q1 2021 and another in Madrid at the end of 2021.
Victor Carreau, co-founder of Comet Meetings, said: "Although the lockdown has forced us to close all our premises for 15 weeks, it has paradoxically confirmed our founding vision: the future of the world of work will be de-compartmentalised, combining regular teleworking with the use of head office and outsourced meeting venues specifically dedicated to certain occasions."
