
Partners in Equity leads €20m round for Campings.com
Amsterdam-based private equity firm Partners in Equity has led a €20m funding round for French camping holidays booking platform Campings.com.
The company is also backed by Luxempart, a Luxembourg-based investment company, and PE firm Ekkio Capital.
The latest round brings the total amount raised by the company to €30m.
The company will use the proceeds to accelerate its growth and expand internationally. CEO Jérôme Mercier said in a statement that the website will also increase the number of campsites with which it partners, allowing them to reach new customers in France and internationally through its website.
The company said in a press release that it was unaffected by the coronavirus pandemic, registering a growth of around 50% before lockdown and over 70% after the lockdown, and that the company's search and booking engine has seen an increase of 46% in the number of new customers booking for the upcoming holiday period.

In May 2008, Campings.com raised €10m in a funding round led by Luxempart and Ekkio Capital.

Founded in 2008 and based in Paris, Campings.com is a website for booking camping holidays. It currently partners with 2,500 campsites. In 2018, it generated revenues of €65m and employs around 100 employees in Paris, Le Mans and Barcelona.
