Permira's Exclusive Group bolts on Nuaware
Permira portfolio company Exclusive Group has acquired UK-based cloud technology business Nuaware.
The add-on is intended to provide additional services and global reach to Nuaware's portfolio, according to a statement. The acquisition of Nuaware will also enable Exclusive Networks to continue to take advantage of digitalisation trends.
The company will continue to operate as a distinct business entity as part of Exclusive Networks.
Permira acquired Exclusive Networks in April 2018 from Cobepa and Andera Partners in a deal that valued the company at €1.3bn. Permira deployed equity via Permira VI, which closed in January 2017 on €7.5bn and deploys equity tickets of €250m-1bn. A syndicate comprising Morgan Stanley, Societe Generale, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, ING and RBC provided debt to support the buyout, as well as a €90m revolving credit facility.
At the time of Permira's investment, the company reported revenues of €1.27bn, compared with sales of €650m in 2015.
Exclusive Networks has now made six add-on acquisitions during Permira's investment period, comprising targets located in Europe, Hong Kong and Canada.
