IK invests in Valoria Capital
IK Investment Partners has agreed to invest in Valoria Capital, a French acquisition platform of independent financial advisers.
The GP invested via its IK Small Cap II Fund, which closed on its hard-cap of €550m in February 2018. The fund follows the strategy of IK Small Cap I, and makes majority buyouts in companies with enterprise values of up to €100m across the DACH, Nordic and Benelux regions, as well as in France.
It is also able to make selected minority buyouts. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, and it remains unclear whether IK will hold a minority or majority stake in the business.
Idinvest will provide financing for the transaction, which was announced at the end of December 2020.
IK stated it would support founder Romain Lefèvre in accelerating the group's market consolidation and portfolio diversification strategy.
