Feeligo raises €1.5m from Iris
French social and mobile advertising specialist Feeligo has secured €1.5m in funding from digital-focused VC Iris Capital.
The capital will finance Feeligo's expansion from its Paris base. The company, currently looking to add three new professionals to its roster, has plans to enter the US market via new offices in New York.
The round comes three years after Feeligo was founded and brings the total capital raised by the business to €2.25m. Aside from Iris, the company's previous backers include business school HEC and Scientipole, which provided the business with €750,000 in seed capital.
The deal is the second to be announced by Iris in recent weeks. In early November, the VC backed a €30m round for Netatmo led by corporate Legrand.
The firm has also been active on the fundraising front after being appointed by corporates Orange and Publicis as the manager of their digital-focused venture fund. The vehicle is part of a wave of new entrants into the French VC fund scene.
Company
Founded in 2012, Feeligo develops sticker-, gif- and video-based advertising campaigns for social and mobile platforms. The Paris-headquartered business works with corporates such as Disney, L'Oreal and 20th Century Fox, and media agencies such as Havas and Publicis; the network represents a potential audience of 600 million viewers for the company's campaigns, according to Feeligo.
People
Iris was represented by investment director Gil Doukhan. Jonathan Levy-Bencheton and Davide Bonapersona co-founded Feeligo, the former being the company's current CEO.
