XAnge Private Equity has led a €1.3m funding round in Ledger, a Paris-based developer of bitcoin wallet hardware.
XAnge invested in the company via its XAnge Capital II fund, which closed in July last year on €62m – just surpassing its €60m target.
The firm was joined in the round by private investors Pascal Gauthier, the former COO of Criteo; NetAtmo CEO and founder Fred Potter; and Thibaut Faurès Fustel de Coulanges, the vice-president of Rentabiliweb Group.
Hi-Pay, a division of Hi-Media Group, and Alain Tingaud Innovations also took part in the round.
Ledger will use the fresh capital to open its US subsidiary, Ledger Technology, with a new office in San Francisco.
This year, the company also plans on updating its Ledger Wallet, finalising production of its new hardware wallet Ledger Blue, and launching its LedgerOS TEE application.
