
Leosphere raises €20m from Electranova
Laser-radar remote sensors specialist Leosphere has received a €20m cash injection from Electranova Capital.
Electranova is a venture capital fund managed by Idinvest Partners and sponsored by energy company EDF.
Leosphere raised its first €10.5m round of financing in December 2012, with funds coming from cleantech investor Oraxys.
Company
Founded in 2004 and based in Paris, Leosphere specialises in laser-radar remote sensors. The technology consists of an intense beam of light, which can measure the movement of air particles. It is designed to be used in the wind power, air traffic management, meteorology and air quality markets. The company employs 125 people and generated revenues of €20m in 2013.
