MML invests €10m in Nactis
MML Capital has injected €10m into Nactis Flavours, a French producer of flavouring and aromatic raw ingredients.
MML acquired a 20% stake in the business. The investment has been provided as €5m in equity and quasi-equity, with the balance in bonds.
Nactis will use the funding to expand internationally, with a focus on eastern Europe, Asia and the Maghreb region. The company's goal is to double in size within the next five years, and to have 50% of its revenues generated overseas.
Nactis is majority-owned by its founder, Hervé Lecesne, and his family. Lecesne, who is chairman of the business, owns 75% of Nactis with his family.
The management team, comprising Nactis France CEO Gérard Trivier, finance and development vice president Bernard Roux and Nactis Flavours CEO Daniel Faguer, hold the remaining 5% shareholding in the business. Faguer joined the company at the beginning of November.
MML is currently investing from its €250m fifth fund, which closed in 2011.

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Bondoufle, Nactis produces aromatic raw materials for the food, pharmaceutical and perfume industries, as well as flavours and aromatic ingredients for the gourmet food sector.
Products include flavours for meat products, beverages, sauces and dairy products, as well as aromatic raw materials for perfume, household products and cosmetics. The company claims to have 3,500 customers.
Nactis generated €40m in revenues last year. It employs 200 staff, 175 of which are based across the business's five production sites in France. Nactis has three commercial subsidiaries based in Bulgaria, Poland and Tunisia.
