
Omnes and Cisco lead $10m series-C for Intersec
French venture capital firm Omnes Capital and Canada-based Cisco Systems have led a $10m series-C round for software developer Intersec.
Other backers include Harbert European Growth Capital, Highland Capital Partners and Innovacom. According to Omnes, the fresh capital will be used to expand internationally, gain new clients and bolster the team. As part of the deal, Omnes partner Renaud Poulard will join the management board.
Previous funding
In May 2011, Innovacom led a €4m series-A round for Intersec. CM-CIC Capital Innovation took part in the investment with a minority equity ticket.
Highland Capital Partners led a $20m series-B funding round for Intersec alongside existing investors in November 2014.
Company
Founded in 2004, Intersec designs data management software for telecom operators. The company's products focus on data analytics and customer-base management.
According to the company's figures, Intersec saw a 50% growth rate in 2015, generating a €20m turnover. Headquartered in Paris with additional offices in New York, St Petersburg, Singapore, Dubai, São Paulo, Madrid, Johannesburg and Abidjan, Intersec employs 130 people.
