
Alven et al. inject €1.2m into Algolia
Alven Capital, Index Ventures, Point 9 Capital and private investors have provided French search engine Algolia with a €1.2m round of funding.
This marks the first round of institutional funding for the business.
Company
Established in 2012, Algolia has developed a cloud-based search engine solution designed to be integrated into websites and mobile applications. The company boasts of ultra-fast response times and easy integration as its main selling points.
Algolia's solution is already being used by several clients and deals with four million requests per day, both in Europe and the US.

Raffi Kamber led the deal for Alven. Nicolas Dessaigne and Julien Lemoine are co-founders of Algolia.
