XAnge, Entrepreneur Venture back €4m HomeRez round
French VCs Entrepreneur Venture and XAnge Private Equity have taken part in a €4m round of funding for accommodation letting service HomeRez.
The round also featured contributions from a number of business angels, including MisterFly and Go Voyage co-founder Nicolas Brumelot, and former Hotels.com chair David Roche.
Following this latest financing round, the French business will look to invest in the development of its technology, bolstering its various processes and platforms, and reaching a greater number of potential clients.
HomeRez will also aim to develop abroad by opening several new offices this year.
Previous funding
Established in 2014, HomeRez had already received seed funding in 2014 from XAnge and business angels, which is believed to have amounted to €1m.
Company
HomeRez was founded by three former Booking.com executives with the aim to facilitate holiday property rentals across the world. The site offers to manage the whole process on behalf of people wishing to let their holiday homes, from the creation of ads on various rental platforms to the management of rental schedules and communications with guests.
Based in Paris, the company claims to have facilitated the letting of properties to around 25,000 guests since inception in 2014.
