Pemberton opens Copenhagen office
Direct lender Pemberton has opened a Nordic office in Copenhagen to be headed by its Nordic director, Victor Kihlgren.
Kihlgren joined Pemberton in 2016 and is responsible for Pemberton's relationships with investors, local borrowers and the private equity community in the Nordic countries.
Pemberton said that direct lending is gathering pace in the region as local banks begin to be constrained in providing financing. This was a hot topic of conversation at Unquote sister publication Creditflux's latest direct lending event, as executives from EQT Credit and Capital Four discussed the asset class's slow but steady progress in the region.
Pemberton is currently investing its €1bn Strategic Credit Opportunities fund in credit opportunities across Europe.
