
Ratos acquires bolt-on for AH Industries
Ratos-backed AH Industries has acquired all share capital in Danish subcontractor RM Group.
The acquisition gives RM Group an enterprise value of DKK 325m and Ratos supported the deal with DKK 225m of equity. The Jørgensen family, founder and seller of RM Group, will retain a 10% stake in the combined group.
AH Industries was acquired by Ratos in July 2007 and is a supplier of metal components and services for the wind energy, offshore and marine industries. The company employs 200 staff and saw turnover of DKK 367m in 2009.
RM Group is a subcontractor for the wind energy, cement and mineral industries. The majority of its production takes place in Ribe, Denmark, and Ningbo, China. RM Group employs approximately 220 people and had a turnover of DKK 488m in 2009.
