EQT sells Aleris to Investor AB
EQT Partners has agreed to sell Aleris Holding AB to Investor AB for an enterprise value of SEK 4.4bn.
Healthcare provider Aleris was formed in 2005 following EQT's acquisition and subsequent merger of ISS Healthcare and Care Partner AB. The acquisition was funded through capital from the EQT III fund. Turnover of the company has grown by an average of 22% per year during EQT's ownership.
Investor AB has historically been a major investor in funds managed by EQT Partners. The closing of the transaction is subject to approval of competition authorities and is expected to be completed at the end of August.
