Adelis-backed Nordomatic buys Dominus
Adelis Equity Partners-backed energy efficiency service Nordomatic has acquired Danish indoor climate management systems Dominus.
Nordomatic made the acquisition alongside the management teams of both companies. Dominus was acquired from Danish multi-utility company Trefor.
Following the bolt-on, the Nordomatic group will have a turnover of SEK 500m and 250 employees.
When Adelis announced its acquisition of Nordomatic, partner Jan Åkesson said the GP planned to grow its new acquisition both within Sweden and across the Nordic region. The bolt-on of Dominus is part of this strategy.
Previous funding
Swedish GP Adelis acquired Nordomatic in a buyout from existing investor Sobro in February 2016. Adelis used its 2012-vintage €410m vehicle, Adelis Equity Partners Fund I, to finance the deal, which saw Nordomatic's management team invest as well.
Company
Dominus was acquired from the founders by Trefor in 2010 and is a provider of open building management systems in the Danish market. The company was founded in 1997, has 72 employees and is based in six locations across Denmark.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Nordomatic is a provider of energy efficiency services to property owners and general contractors. The company's services focus on commercial properties, offering energy-efficient climate control installation and maintenance, and energy optimisation services. The company was founded in 1967 and employs 175 people. It generated revenues of SEK 330m in 2015.
