Industrifonden et al. in €9m round for Amra
Swedish venture investor Industrifonden, Pfizer Venture Investments and Novo Seeds have led a $9m funding round for Swedish digital health company Advanced MR Analytics (Amra).
Healthcare venture funds Pfizer Venture Investments and Novo Seeds led the round, joining existing investor Industrifonden.
With the new funding, Amra aims to establish its network internationally in order to be more effective in the field of research, and find new methods of treatment and diagnosis.
Previous funding
Industrifonden invested SEK 5m in Amra in January 2014, and an additional SEK 10m in January 2015.
Company
Medical technology company Advanced MR Analytics was founded in 2010 and offers a cloud-based analysis service for the measurement of fat and muscular mass in the human body from MR images.
The company researches the correspondence between fat, muscle and metabolic issues and diseases in connection with obesity.
