Verdane backs music software developer Propellerhead
Nordic secondaries and growth investor Verdane Capital has invested in Stockholm-based music production software developer Propellerhead.
The GP's equity was drawn from Verdane Capital IX, the manager's most recent vehicle, which closed on its SEK 3bn hard-cap in July 2016 after four months on the road.
With the fresh capital infusion Propellerhead plans to expand its team, increase software development pace, and strengthen the company's market positions in the professional and casual music production spaces, as well as continue development of its mobile platform.
Founder and CEO Ernst Nathorst-Böös will continue to head up the business following Verdane's investments.
Company
Headquartered in Stockholm, Propellerhead is a developer of music production software.
The company was founded in 1994 and produces the Reason music production suite, in addition to products such as Figure, ReCycle and ReBirth.
