
Sentica backs Konevuori
Private equity investor Sentica has backed Finnish construction firm Konevuori.
Financial details were not disclosed. Konevuori will operate as a subsidiary of infrastructure group Terrawise.
Konevuori's founder, Reijo Wuorio, remains in a key operating role and has become an owner in the group.
Sentica invested in Terrawise via its Buyout IV fund in December 2015, forming the infrastructure firm through the merger of three Finnish construction companies: Kanta Kaivu, Kallionporaus Arto Soininen and Cendigo. The group acquired three additional businesses that year –Ympäristörakennus Saarinen in March, JJ Kaivin ja Kallio in July, and Vihermali in October. Terrawise recorded a turnover of €60m in 2016.
The Sentica Buyout IV fund held its final close on €130m in October 2013. It focuses on Finnish lower-mid-market companies and allocates investments of around €7-15m per portfolio company.

Founded in 1989, Konevuori offers civil construction, earthwork, transportation, and stone product selling services. The company is headquartered in Monninkylä, Finland, and employs 70 staff. It saw net sales of €28m for the financial year ending June 2017.
