
Standout, Tesi back BCB Medical
Standout Capital and Tesi have backed a funding round for Finnish clinical software company BCB Medical.
Standout will become the largest shareholder in BCB Medical following the investment and will hold a majority position together with Tesi.
Backstage Invest also took part in the round and other pre-investment shareholders will retain their stakes in the company.
BCB will use the fresh capital to further develop its software and expand into international markets.
Company
BCB was founded in 2003 and has offices in Turku, Oulu, Tampere and Espoo. It employs 50 people to service the 8,000 healthcare professional that use its register of more than 60,000 patients. Its data monitors and analyses clinical information on 60 disease groups, and is available to all hospitals in Finland. The company generated revenues of €3.7m for the financial year ending March 2017 and made a net loss of €132,000.
