
Norvestor’s Nomor makes three Norway acquisitions
Sweden-based pest control company Nomor, owned by Norvestor, has acquired three pest control businesses in Norway.
Nomor bought Effecta, along with A1 ABS Skadedyrkontroll and Skadedyrshop, which are collectively known as ABS, in its first move to expand geographically outside Sweden.
Nomor operates within three service areas: pest control, food safety, and home sanitisation. It also provides service agreements that guarantee compliance with current regulation in each service area.
As part of the acquisition, Norvestor plans to expand the firm outside Sweden.
Previous funding
The Norway-based GP acquired a 70% stake in Swedish pest control company Nomor in May 2014 via its Norvestor VI fund, leaving the remaining shares under the ownership of the management team and employees.
Norvestor VI held a final close in December 2012 on NOK 3bn. According to unquote" data, the vehicle commits equity tickets of NOK 100-500m to mid-market companies with enterprise values of NOK 150m-1.5bn.
Company
Established in 2009, Effecta is based in Bergen and offers pest control, damage control and radon services in the region.
ABS is located in Rud, outside Oslo, and offers pest control services in south-east Norway in addition to online sales of consumer pest control equipment.
The combined revenues of the businesses are expected to total NOK 50m for 2017, according to the GP.
