HealthCap backs Doctrin in $10m series-A
Venture capital firm HealthCap has backed Stockholm-based healthtech startup Doctrin in a $10m series-A funding round.
The round was led by Swedish healthcare provider Capio, with participation from Inbox Capital and Norrsken Foundation.
With the fresh capital, Doctrin intends to continue developing its AI technology and plans to expand internationally.
Capio is currently using Doctrin with 750,000 patients in 83 primary care units in Sweden.
Company
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Stockholm, Doctrin is developing a platform for healthcare providers to manage and follow up with patients by logging and monitoring patients' digital medical history. The patient can enter their symptoms via the application, which will advise on further treatment or if a face-to-face appointment with a doctor is more appropriate.
