
Inventure, Tesi raise $2.4m for Thirdpresence
Nordic venture capital firms Inventure and Tesi have provided a $2.4m seed funding round for Helsinki-based video advertising company Thirdpresence.
Existing local private investors also participated in the round, alongside new business angel investors mainly from Europe.
With the fresh capital, the company intends to grow its R&D resources, including recruiting 10 new algorithm experts for the company's R&D unit in Finland.
The deal marks the first investment from Inventure Fund III, which held a first close on €110m in December 2017.

Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Helsinki, Thirdpresence uses artificial intelligence (AI) programming for video advertising. It plans to further invest in developing AI for the programmatic in-app video advertising market.
The company has offices in Helsinki, New York and London. It has raised $6m in total funding to date.
