CapVest sells Scandza to management
CapVest Equity Partners has sold its portfolio company Scandza, a Nordic food and beverage business, to the company's management team and founders.
CapVest's shares in the firm have been acquired by the management team, supported by a consortium of local investors. The exit spells the end of a near five-year holding period for the London-headquartered private equity firm.
According to a local media report, the buyers will acquire 60% of Scandza from CapVest.
Previous funding
CapVest completed the management buyout of Scandza in December 2013. The management team increased its shareholding in the firm as part of the transaction. The GP followed a buy-and-build strategy to grow the asset.
Company
Founded in 2008 and based in Oslo, Scandza is a Nordic food and beverage platform that brings together several brands in the chilled foods, snacking and baked goods segments.
