
Kinnevik invests NOK 300m in Kolonial.no
Kinnevik has acquired a 15% stake in Norwegian online grocery retailer Kolonial.no for NOK 300m (€31.2m).
According to a statement, Kinnevik invested NOK 200m in primary capital and a further NOK 100m in secondary shares.
The company will use the fresh capital to expand its product offering and scale up its operations in Norway.
Previous funding
Kolonial.no raised funding from Verdane Capital in 2016. In addition to this initial investment, the business received €15.6m from the Norwegian company Rasmussengruppen in June 2017, according to press reports.

Established in 2013 and based in Oslo, Kolonial.no is an online retailer that offers delivery of grocery and household products to several cities across Norway. The company recorded revenues of approximately NOK 800m in 2017.
