Juuri Partners acquires minority stake in Flowplus
Finnish private equity house Juuri Partners has acquired a minority stake in Helsinki-based Flowplus, a provider of maintenance services for flow systems such as pumps, valves, electric motors and gears.
Following the completion of the deal, Juuri will hold a stake of around 39%, with the company's CEO owning a 48% stake. The management team will hold the remaining shares.
The transaction is a growth equity deal for Juuri, with the expansion strategy focused on bolting on smaller players across Finland, Juuri partner Tommi Asmala told Unquote. By year-end, the team expects to make between three and five more bolt-on acquisitions.
In addition to Juuri's backing, Flowplus has also announced the acquisition of MDA Services, a provider of maintenance services for large and high-voltage electric motors. The newly acquired company has net sales of €1.6m.
The market is fragmented making it relatively easy to integrate players with similar levels of net sales to MDA Services, Asmala said.
Company
Established in 2012 and headquartered in Helsinki, Flowplus offers maintenance services for flow systems such as pumps, valves, electric motors and gears. The company generated net sales of €13m in 2017 through its network of nine depots.
