
Insight leads €56m round for Tink
Insight Venture Partners has led a €56m funding round for Swedish banking platform Tink.
Existing investors Sunstone, SEB, Nordra Ventures and ABN Amro Digital Impact Fund all took part, as well as new investors Christian Clausen (formerly of the European Banking Federation) and Niklay Storonsky, the founder of Revolut.
The company aims to be in 20 European markets by the end of 2019, up from nine currently, and will double its headcount of 150 to achieve this. All of its employees are currently in Stockholm or London but it will open four more offices this year.
Previous funding
Danish venture capital firm Sunstone led a $4m series-A round for Tink in September 2014 and returned alongside SEB to invest a further $10m in the company’s series-B in 2016.

Tink was founded in 2013, is headquartered in Stockholm and employs 150 people. The company develops a mobile app focused on banking services, including personal finance management and spending habits mapping.
