
Owl Ventures leads $21m series-B for Labster
San Francisco-based VC firm Owl Ventures has led a $21m series-B funding round for Danish laboratory simulation software company Labster.
Balderton Capital, Northzone and Swisscom Ventures also took part in the round and Nordic Makers, Nordic Makers founder David Helgason, EduCapital and Entangled Group made follow-on investments.
The fresh capital will be used to expand Labster’s content catalogue and develop new simulations. Labster will also invest in scaling its customer support and sales operations in the US.
Previous funding
Balderton led a $10m series-A for Labster alongside Northzone and David Helgason in 2017. The fresh capital was earmarked for global expansion.
Company
Founded in 2012, Labster develops interactive lab simulations for students and scientists. It has 150 institutional customers in 25 countries and is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark.
