Kirk Kapital invests in Catacap's TPA
Kirk Kapital has invested for a 26% stake in Catacap portfolio company TP Aerospace from Danish pension fund manager and asset manager Danica.
Both Catacap and the company's management team will remain invested in the business.
Kirk Kapital investment manager Nina Fisker Olesen will join TPA's board of directors. The investor said that the company promotes the circular economy, which is one of its favoured investment themes.
Previous funding
Catacap acquired TPA at an enterprise value of DKK 500m in 2017. Founders and owners Peter Lyager and Thomas Ibsø reinvested alongside Catacap to retain a substantial minority stake in the business.
Company
Founded in 2008, TP Aerospace is a provider of aircraft brakes and wheels. The company is headquartered in Hvidovre and sells, leases, exchanges and loans after-market wheels and brakes. Additionally, it provides component maintenance, pool, inventory and logistics services. It generated EBITDA before special items of DKK 41m from sales of DKK 111m in 2018, up from DKK 43m and DKK 87m respectively in 2017.
