
Adcuram-backed Vitrulan acquires Ahlstrom-Munksjö business
Adcuram portfolio company The Vitrulan Group has acquired the glass fibre reinforcement business of Ahlstrom-Munksjö.
Adcuram acquired 90% of Vitrulan shares as part of a succession agreement for the owner-operated enterprise in 2016. The company generates revenue of €60m.
Vitrulan has acquired the business for its broader product range and to expand internationally.
The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks.

Ahlstrom-Munksjö's business, which employs 100 people in Mikkeli, Finland, produces glass and carbon-fibre reinforcing fabrics primarily for use in wind energy but also in shipbuilding and logistics. Ahlstrom-Munksjö was founded in 1851 and has annual sales of €3bn.
