Altor backs Curamando, creates digital marketing group
Swedish private equity house Altor has backed Stockholm-based management consulting specialist Curamando, with the aim of creating a platform in the digital marketing sector.
The GP deployed capital from Altor Fund V, which closed on its €2.5bn hard-cap in February 2019. The fund targets Nordic mid-market companies and invests equity tickets of up to €150m.
The Curamando group will simultaneously be extended by the addition of three Swedish digital marketing specialists: Kurppa Hosk, Animal and Keybroker. It will also include digital conversion expert Conversionista, which was acquired by Curamando in 2017. The combined entity expects to generate aggregate revenues of around €38m in 2019.
The four companies will be owned by the Curamando group but will operate under their independent and separate brands. All founders will continue to lead their respective companies, except Keybroker's co-founder Fredrik Holmén, who will take on a new role at Curamando, to focus on strengthening and developing its value offer within MarTech and data activation.
Company
Established in 2012 and based in Stockholm, Curamando offers management consulting and digital marketing to help companies increase their online revenues by optimising marketing and sale operations, and adapting to digital transformation.
