
EQT Ventures leads $8m round for Traplight
Finnish mobile games studio Traplight has raised €8m in a funding round led by EQT Ventures.
Play Ventures, Initial Capital and Heartcore Capital also participated in the fundraise.
Traplight will use the proceeds to support its newly launched gaming title Battle Legion.
According to Crunchbase, the company has raised a total of $13.6m in funding so far. The company, founded 10 years ago, has created other games such as Big Bang Racing in 2016.

In 2017, Traplight raised $2.7m in a round led by gaming-focused VC Korea Investment Partners, and joined by Finnerva Venture, Sunstone Capital and Initial Capital. In 2015, it raised $1.5m from existing investors Finnerva Venture, Sunstone Capital and Initial Capital.

Founded in 2010 in Tampere, Traplight is a mobile games studio which has created video games such as Big Bang Racing and more recently Battle Legion, a mass battle multiplayer spectator game. The company employs 30 staff.
