White Park, Navigator Capital carve out Gateway from Gunnebo
Turnaround-focused private equity firms White Park Capital and Navigator Capital have carved out anti-theft systems manufacturer Gateway from listed security firm Gunnebo via Aralia Holding.
In 2019, Gateway's EBITA amounted to SEK –22m (–€2.1m), and in H1 2020 it was SEK –7m (–€700,000.
According to a statement by the company, the divestment will help Gunnebo become "a more focused, profitable and innovation-orientated company".
UK-based White Park acquires underperforming and distressed businesses, focusing on carve-outs from larger parent groups in Europe or North America.
Munich-based Navigator Capital is a PE firm that specialises in companies with increased management requirements.

Founded in 1994 and based in Motala, Gateway is a manufacturer of anti-theft systems for the retail and fashion industries. The company employs 25 staff and generated a loss of SEK 22m (–€2.1m) in 2019 and SEK –7m (–€700,000) in H1 2020.
