
Highland Europe leads €40m series-B round for Supermetrics
Helsinki-based software-as-a-service company Supermetrics has raised €40m in a series-B round led by Highland Europe.
Also taking part in the round were venture capital firms IVP and OpenOcean , and private investors including Datadog chief product officer Amit Agarwal, and Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen.
The company will use the funding for further expansion, which will include bringing data warehousing to the marketing sector, developing tools to serve HR and finance sectors, and carrying out bolt-on acquisitions to improve its product offering.
According to a statement by the company, it has been profitable since its founding in 2013, having achieved profit margins of 30% and turnover doubling each year.

In November 2017, OpenOcean led a €3.5m series-A financing round for Supermetrics.
