
Kahoot! acquires VC-backed Actimo
Kahoot!, a Norwegian games-based education platform, has wholly acquired Actimo, a Danish mobile workspace developer for remote employees that is backed by venture capital investors including Promentum Equity Partners.
The total consideration reflects an enterprise value of $26-33m, to be settled in a combination of cash and shares.
Actimo has raised a total of €3.5m from Promentum, Mitco and Lehrmann Holding, according to its website.
According to the company, 200 businesses use Actimo, and it has annual recurring revenues of DKK 31m (€4.2m).
The deal is subject to customary conditions and is expected to be completed in October 2020.

Founded in 2010 and based in Copenhagen, Actimo is a software-as-a-service company providing mobile workspaces for remote employees across 80 countries. It has operations in Denmark, Sweden, the UK, Spain and Mexico. It has 43 employees and in 2019 reported revenues of DKK 23.6m (€3.2m) and EBITDA of DKK -1m (-€130,000).
