Brygge Partners invests in Tier 1 Asset

Danish private equity firm Brygge Partners, previously known as Esbjerg Brygge Invest has acquired a 37.5% stake in Denmark-based refurbished computer equipment provider Tier 1 Asset.
According to a report by regional Danish newspaper JydskeVestkysten, founder and CEO Peter Hemicke will own 57.5%, while board chaiman Lars Aean purchased 5%.
The report cited Hemicke as saying that the deal will bring with it further knowledge to the company's board and also dilute some of the risk that comes with fully owning the company.
The GP is deploying from its new fund, Brygge Partners II, which typically acquires majority and minority stakes in Danish companies that are seeking a change of ownership, though it also invests in turnaround situations.
Company
Founded in 1999 and based in Allerød, Tier 1 refurbishes computer equipment. It refurbishes 250,000 units per year and has an annual turnover of around DKK 200m (€27m) and EBITDA of DKK 10.5m (€1.4m).
