Point72 Ventures leads €20m round for Curb
Point72 Ventures has led a €20m funding round for Swedish dark kitchen startup Curb.
EQT Ventures also took part in the round, which brings the total the company has raised to €25m in the last 12 months.
Curb, which was founded in May 2020, will use the funding to invest in technology and continued expansion in Stockholm.
EQT Ventures said in a statement that Covid-19 had created an inflection point for the restaurant industry, causing an unprecedented rise in the demand for food delivery services and leading to a huge opportunity for delivery-only kitchens, known as "dark kitchens".
The startup said in a statement that it aimed to fix common issues that plague food delivery such as inconsistent quality, high prices, and low profitability.

Founded in May 2020 and based in Stockholm, Curb is a dark kitchen startup. It has fewer than 50 employees.
