Industrifonden leads €11m round in Nuevolution
Industrifonden and existing investors have provided Danish biotech company Nuevolution with a DKK 80.5m (тЌ11m) round of funding.
Industrifonden joined previous backers Sunstone Capital, SEB Venture Capital and SEB Utvecklingsstiftelse. SEB first invested in the company in 2003.
Company
Nuevolution A/S is a biotechnology company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. It operates a trademarked platform, Chemetics, which is a small molecule compound library used for screening pharmaceuticals' compounds. Its current library collection exceeds one billion small molecule compounds.
Founded in 2001, Nuevolution has commercial agreements with Merck & Co, Lexicon Pharmceuticals, GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis Pharma and Boehringer Ingelheim.

Jones Brambeck, investment manager, led the deal on behalf of Industrifonden. Alex Gouliaev is CEO of Nuevolution.
