Vaaka sells Finnish roofer to Sentica’s Hämeen Laaturemontti
Finnish GP Vaaka Partners has sold its stake in Orimattila-based roof renovator Nesco Group to Sentica Partners-owned Hämeen Laaturemontti.
Vaaka sold the 60% stake in Nesco it had acquired in a 2011 buyout with capital from its Vaaka Partners Buyout I fund.
For Sentica, the acquisition marks the first bolt-on for Hämeen Laaturemontti since the GP became a majority shareholder in March 2014.
Nesco and Hämeen Laaturemontti's CEOs said the deal would allow the new group to offer its services to a broader market and pave the way for further offerings in Sweden.
The transaction is subject to the approval of the Finnish competition authority.
Company
Nesco is a Finnish rainwater and roof safety systems installer based in Orimattila, near Helsinki.
The company was founded in 1981 and employs a workforce of 280; the new group will employ 500 people.
