
Silverfleet’s Phase One bolts on Mamiya Digital
Silverfleet Capital-backed Danish photography equipment and software maker Phase One has acquired Japanese competitor Mamiya Digital Imaging Company (MDI).
The transaction saw Phase One acquire the remaining shares in MDI, having first bought into the company in 2009 when it took a 45% stake. As part of the deal, MDI's factory, brands and 80 employees will be integrated into Phase One's organisation.
Silverfleet first invested in Phase One in February 2014, taking a 60% stake in the business, which had previously received investment from 3i.

Founded in 1940, Mamiya Digital Imaging Company is a Tokyo-headquartered maker of cameras, and photographic and optical equipment.
People
Henrik Håkonsson is the CEO of Phase One. Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi is the CEO of MDI. In conjunction with the deal, Phase One appointed Makoto Honda as the new president of Phase One's Japan division.
