SEB Venture Capital leads SEK 93m round for OssDsign
SEB Venture Capital has led a SEK 93m funding round for Swedish cranio-facial implant maker OssDsign, alongside Swedish VC Fouriertransform and existing investor Karolinska Development.
The fresh capital will be used to fund further expansion into Europe for OssDsign, which currently sells its products in the Nordic countries, Germany and the UK. It plans to launch in Europe and the US in 2016.
Karolinska's follow-on investment in the Uppsala-based company is the first for the VC this year, and comes a month after it sold XSpray Microparticles.
Alongside the appointment of new CEO Jim Van Heusden from Gimv in March, Karolinska has been in the process of streamlining its portfolio this year.

Karolinska first backed OssDsign when the company was founded in 2011, and invested SEK 13.7m in July 2013.
Company
Headquartered in Uppsala near Stockholm, OssDsign is a developer and producer of implants used for permanent cranial repairs.
