Creandum backs Hansoft

Creandum took a minority stake in Hansoft. In addition to Creandum, a group of private investors took part in the round, including Mårten Mickos, former CEO of MySQL and currently CEO of Eucalyptus Systems.

The fresh capital will be used for recruitment, mainly for the San Francisco office in order to increase sales and marketing efforts as well as to expand the customer base. The San Francisco team will be expanded to include a chief growth officer.

The company has previously been owned and self-financed by founders Erik Olofsson, Hans Andersson, and Patric Palm.

Based in Uppsala and San Francisco, Hansoft offers a tool for team collaboration and management in Agile software development. The software is used in the development of products and services within the electronics, aerospace, space, game development, and telecoms sectors.

People
Daniel Blomquist, principal at Creandum, will join Hansoft's board. Johan Brenner is a general partner in Creandum's Palo Alto office. Patric Palm is the CEO and co-founder of Hansoft.
