Triton-backed Europart bolts on LVD and Trailereffekter
Triton’s German commercial auto spare parts company Europart has acquired Swedish spare parts providers LVD Lastvagnsdelar Svenska and Trailereffekter.
LVD and Trailereffekter will be incorporated into Europart's group structure as part of the deal, which saw Swedish investment company Axel Johnson International divest its holding in the two bolted-on companies.
The GP expects the new group subsidiaries to strengthen Europart's position in northern Europe, by adding a combined 16 branch offices in Sweden.
Triton signed an agreement to acquire the two companies in January, but the transaction was not confirmed until this month.
Company
LVD was founded in 1976 and is a Bromma-based distributor of parts for commercial vehicles.
Based in Gothenburg, Trailereffekter is also a commercial vehicle parts distributor operating in Sweden. It was founded in 1977.
The two companies had combined revenues of SEK 265m in the year to February 2016 and a staff of 93.
