
Alantra appoints two new operating partners
Alantra Private Equity has appointed Javier Pijoan and Chema Fernández as operating partners specialised in sales and marketing, and digital transformation.
Pijoan will support the management teams of Alantra's portfolio companies in their commercial strategy, the implementation and monitoring of their distribution and sales plans, and the execution of their internationalisation projects.
Pijoan has more than 25 years of experience in the consumer and food sector. He previously worked for Heineken, where he was a member of the European executive committee; Bacardi, where he was general manager of Iberia; and Carrefour, among others.
Fernández has extensive experience in the technology industry. Previously, he worked for Openbank, Telefónica, Havas and El Corte Inglés, where he held the position of chief transformation officer.
In his new role, Fernández will support Alantra's portfolio companies in their digital transformation, help develop business lines based on e-commerce, and improve technological infrastructure.
