Fondo Italiano completes five investments in one week
Fondo Italiano d'Investimento has made five investments in Italian companies over a seven day period, increasing the number of transactions completed by the public-private fund to 17.
Four of the five investments ranged from €12-20m and were all made in exchange for a minority stake. The fifth deal value remains undisclosed.
At the highest end of the scale were investments in TBS Group and Zeis Excelsa SpA; €20m investments were made in both companies through a capital injection and convertible loan. TBS is an integrated clinical engineering and healthcare services provider while Zeis is a clothing and apparel supplier and manufacturer.
Security services provider Gruppo La Patria benefitted from an undisclosed equity investment.

The government-backed vehicle launched in 2010 and holds total commitments of €1.2bn.
