
Spark Capital leads $7m series-A for TravelPerk
Venture Capital firm Spark Capital has led a $7m series-A round for Barcelona-based business travel platform TravelPerk.
Following the funding round, the company's total amount of funding increased to $8.5m. As part of the deal, Spark general partner Alex Finkelstein will join the company's management board.
The company intends to use the fresh capital to triple its headcount and expand internationally.
US-based VC house Spark manages $2bn of assets across five funds. More recently, the GP raised an early-stage venture fund in 2013 and a growth fund in 2014. Its portfolio companies include Twitter, Tumblr, Foursquare, Academia.edu, Slack and Postmates.
