
Caixa Capital Risc leads €5.5m series-A for Movvo
Spanish venture capital manager Caixa Capital Risc has led a €5.5m series-a round for Portuguese location analytics company Movvo.
Corporate venture firm Sonae IM also joined the funding round alongside existing business angel investors.
The company intends to use the fresh capital to boost its product development and accelerate growth in its existing markets of Europe, North America and Asia.
In October 2014, Caixa Capital Risc and Sonae IM led a €1.6m seed round for the company.

Established in 2009 and headquartered in Porto, Movvo develops an online platform that provides location analytics and monetisation services for shopping centre operators and retailers. The platform uses multiple sensors to understand, predict and influence shopper behaviour.
The business has a presence in Porto, London, Boston, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
