
Ambienta fully acquires Ravelli
Italian private equity house Ambienta has acquired the remaining 40% stake in its portfolio company Ravelli, a stoves and boilers manufacturer.
Following the transaction, the company will see representatives form Ambienta joining the management board.
The company intends to use the capital injection to boost its product development with particular regard to environmental sustainability.
Previous funding
In 2010, Ambienta acquired a 60% stake in the business, while the founding family retained a 40% stake. According to press reports, the founding family launched an auction process led by Banca Imi to find a seller for its stake in 2014, to no avail at the time.

Founded in 1970, Ravelli produces pellet stoves, fireplaces and boilers. Headquartered in Palazzolo sull'Oglio, Italy, the business has a presence in Europe, the US, Japan and New Zealand, and posted a turnover of €70m in 2014.
