
Aurica Capital buys 40% stake in Delta Tecnic
Aurica Capital, the private equity arm of Grupo Banco Sabadell, has acquired a 40% stake in Spanish colour additives producer Delta Tecnic.
According to unquote" sister company Mergermarket, the GP acquired its stake in the business for €20m. Following the acquisition, the new shareholder intends to boost the company's international expansion.
The GP currently invests through its 2016-vintage Aurica III vehicle, which expects to hold a final close by the end of 2017. Launched with a €150m target, the vehicle held a first close on €100m in June 2016.
The deal is the second acquisition for the GP's fund, following the recent purchase of mattress producer Flex from its peer Artá Capital in March 2017.

Headquartered in Barcelona and established in 1982, Delta Tecnic produces colour additives for the plastics, cables, dyes, paint and cosmetics industries.
The company employs a staff of 130 and has a presence in 40 countries. In 2016, it generated €40m in revenues, according to a press release.
